The Big East Conference Basketball Tournament starts today, March 13th!

This year the conference is truly up for grabs. While the 3-10 teams in the conference battled each other all season long, it seemed like Villanova and Marquette were easily the two best teams in the conference, destined to meet in the tournament final.

A lot has changed recently as Villanova has lost 5 of their last 8 games and Marquette has lost 4 straight! Teams like Xavier and Creighton, and even Providence, have played very well of late, and it seems any of them could make a run with Nova and Marquette hobbled. Myles Powell’s great late run locked up the 3 seed for Seton Hall and they look like a real threat and maybe even the favorite to win it all. Despite recent struggles and inconsistent play all year long, you still can’t count out St. John’s as well.
