Jermaine Samuels, Collin Gillespie (out – broken nose) and Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree lead a young group of Cats picked to finish second in the Big East by the coaches. They are joined by second years returning players: Saddiq Bey, Cole Swider and Brandon Slater. Nova’s five man freshman class, ranked fifth nationally by 247Sports, is headlined by two five-star recruits, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Bryan Antoine (out – recovering from a torn labrum), two more top 100 ranked four-star recruits, Justin Moore and Eric Dixon, and younger brother of Villanova 2016 National Champion Ryan Arcidiacono, Chris Arcidiacono. Also joining the Cats on the Mainline this year is Tulane transfer Caleb Daniels. Daniels comes to Villanova with two years of eligibility remaining, but will sit out the 2019-20 season in accordance with the NCAA transfer policy.
